WEEK 23 DISCUSSION

Starting from this week, we will be discussing different topics on Friday night and Sunday morning in Discussion Class.  So, if you'd like to come to both, you can enjoy a different topic each time.  

WEEK 23 (Friday 19:00):  We will be talking about 'otaku'.  

What role does 'otaku' play in promoting Japan to the world?  What useful role do they play for Japan?  Keep in mind that just the Japanese anime & manga industry is worth billions of dollars worldwide.

WEEK 23 (SUNDAY 11:00):  The other 90%

90% of the world lives in extreme poverty.  They do not have access to basic things like clean water, proper sewage, education, etc..   Of course, we know that this is still happening all around the world, but why?  This generation is the richest generation in all of world history and we have the power to wipe out poverty, but we are ignoring it.  Why?
